Spring the Thoughts of Autumn
I'll never forget the morning trips into the mountain breeze
Where autumn had just graced it's inferno upon the trees.
It looked like the entire forest was up in flames,
As the wind shook the trees to create a roaring blaze.
Soon the leaves will tremble down the air,
Leaving their homes, looking like wondering flares.
And as they decorate the woods' soil
It will remind me of burnt land and oil
But right now, it is the glory of spring time,
And the flowers are out to glimmer and chime.
Only, it's hard to see the beauty of bright life,
When you've been touched by autumn's burnt strife
And no matter what season lives outside my eyes
It is always autumn burning in my morning skies.

I love the line about Autumn's leaves being an inferno. I'm always going to think that from now on.
When you mention the flares do you want to say 'wondering' or 'wandering'? Either way I think it works, but I just wanted to clarify. Love this one too.

No need to be too critical, but I like this one, my favourite so far. Hemingway is one of my favourite American writers, any inspiration from him by a chance?
The cold of winter freezes my bones,
more than that it freezes
my soul. Forever more, I'll be cold.
The summer's heat is nothing,
it's so hot,
but I'm so cold.
I'll never be the same, after that
cold winter day.
The rhyming in this is good except for that air and flares throws me off a little as well as flames and blaze. But it's good enough for me.
Now this is a beautiful piece of work. It's very positive and church friendly. Good description of natural imagery.
