Blown Away

A whisper through an ocean cave-
came and blew our flame far away.
Two wet stones are in my hands;
this is our ending to warm sands.

An echo is dancing off the walls-
leaving the lights all now dull.
Hitting the stones until I'm tired,
can you help me light a flickering fire?

But a sleek, black shadow is all that remains-
in the place you had once claimed.
And so our cave turns into dust,
leaving behind old, cruel lust.

The sun is peaking out through the stone,
and I begin to ignite a new tome.
